Whether you already have an interest in robotics, or are just joining the field and are looking to find your “niche”, Carnegie Robotics is the place for you.
Individuals with engineering experience in the areas we are passionate about and a desire to jump in and own solutions to autonomy's exciting challenges.
This role is seeking an electrical, mechanical, or software engineer with 5+ years of experience and a demonstrated ability to guide the activities of multi-disciplinary teams as they mature system level solutions.
We're about growth and providing opportunities for you as you move through your career.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be collaborating with an energetic and motivated, multi-disciplinary team to develop reliable robotic and automation systems for a wide range of real-world commercial products and R&D applications. You will serve as interpreter of many languages: translating technical details to customers and expressing the customers' needs to your technical team. You will work alongside a Senior Program Manager to develop, document, and execute technical decision making needed to move a project from the concept phase, through prototype development, and into production.
This requires a unique skill set involving reconciling program requirements with current realities of each discipline's solution status. You will document current capabilities, compare these to required performance and work with the team to mature the solution, execute test and evaluation activities, and document results.
