Position

Systems Engineer – Hanscom, MA, hybrid. Candidate must have an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documents that define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using engineering economy principles.
• Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and evaluate results of major engineering systems.
• Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs and initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, evolution, deployment/fielding, installation, and operations oversight.
• Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based on performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life cycle cost, productivity, reliability, maintainability, risk, and schedule.
• Provide concepts and requirements analyses support services, including reviewing and analyzing:
  • Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD)
  • Capability Development Documents (CDD)
  • Capability Production Documents (CPD)
  • Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
  • Military Utility Assessments
  • Concepts of Operation (CONOP)
  • Technology Development Strategies
  • FCAs/PCAs
  • Technology Standards Profiles
• Support all engineering and technical activities required during the material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support phases of the systems acquisition process (e.g., Critical Design Review (CDR), Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA), Reliability Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM)).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and total 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years within DoD. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with DoD Acquisition processes, including Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, Engineering Manufacturing and Development, Production and Deployment activities.
• Knowledge in requirements development, production and deployment, operations and support, architecture development & implementation, modeling & simulation (including Model Based Systems Engineering principles), verification & validation, technical data package development and sustainment, and principles of configuration management.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Business Development

• Assist with business development activities as required, including technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, proposal writing support, and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
