Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a government-focused team. The role involves analyzing complex networks, configuring operating systems, and supporting cloud server deployments in an agile setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, Ansible, Bash, Git, or Jenkins.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure for federal enterprise systems.
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or VMware vSphere.
  • Experience implementing STIGs and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience with LDAP or Docker.
  • Experience supporting classified networks and applying cybersecurity best practices.

In this role, you’ll analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems. You’ll resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes. You’ll load and configure cloud servers and vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or white box routers and switches and support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services. You’ll act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. On our team, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of software projects, our technical capabilities, and product design. Working on an agile team of experts, you’ll perform reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of various software problems. You’ll inform operational parameters for complex systems, as well as leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and systems engineering in federal or mission-critical environments
  • Experience administering Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS
  • Experience with AWS, Ansible, Bash, Git, or Jenkins
  • Experience supporting infrastructure for federal enterprise systems
  • Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or VMware vSphere
  • Experience implementing STIGs and federal cybersecurity requirements
  • Experience with LDAP or Docker
  • Experience supporting classified networks and applying cybersecurity best practices
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting DoD, federal civilian, or intelligence community environments
  • Experience with STIGs, RMF, and ATO processes
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning, security assessment, and remediation
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
