Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or closely related field.
  • Experience integrating systems engineering with Agile, DevSecOps, digital thread, and digital twin methodologies is highly desired.
  • Experience developing, managing, and tracing system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience with systems integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, ICDs, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain digital system models supporting requirements management, design, integration, verification, and sustainment.
  • Apply MBSE to develop system architecture, interface definitions, and verification traceability.
  • Ensure cybersecurity-by-design principles and compliance with NIST SP 800-53/171, DoD RMF, and Zero Trust.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test teams to ensure traceability from mission needs through verification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.

Duties And Responsibilities

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and maintain digital system models that serve as the authoritative technical baseline supporting requirements management, design, integration, verification, and sustainment.

  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and maintain system architecture, operational concepts, requirements decomposition, interface definitions, and verification traceability throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Ensure systems engineering products incorporate cybersecurity-by-design principles and satisfy applicable NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, DoD RMF, and Zero Trust architectural requirements.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test teams to ensure requirements are fully traceable from mission needs through verification and validation.
  • Support Digital Engineering initiatives using SysML, Cameo, or equivalent MBSE tools to improve technical rigor, design consistency, and lifecycle traceability.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Citizenship / Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
