Auria Space seeks a Systems Engineer to support the TASD program at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. This onsite role requires delivering threat model requirements for missile systems, coordinating with customers and engineers, and ensuring timely delivery of high‑fidelity MBSE artifacts.
You will contribute to the development of kinematic, RF and IR signatures models, participate in V&V activities, and travel up to 10% as needed while maintaining active DoD clearance.
Auria is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to support the TASD program. This role is ONSITE on Schriever in Colorado Springs, CO. Threat Systems Engineering (TSE) is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA’s Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). TSE is responsible for the development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) used to simulate element models of MDA’s BMDS, including kinematic missile modeling, IR signature modeling, data production/analysis activities, and maintenance/sustainment activities for the entire TSE software baseline. TSE is a cornerstone element to the Threat and Advanced Simulations Development (TASD) contract. The Systems Engineer/Mission Support Threat Engineer role serves as a missile threats specialist, threats model requirements developer, and a verifier and validator of threat representations across the kinematic, RF, and IR signatures domains. This Systems Engineering specialized position will be responsible for capturing and documenting requirements as they pertain to the development of Missiles’ kinematic, RF, and IR signatures models. The Systems Engineer/Mission Support Threat Engineer will be involved in direct discussions and collaborations with our customers, threat stakeholders, intelligence analysts, and fellow engineers to best capture the requirements for developing and delivering accurate and relevant threat models. The role requires working with little to no direct supervision, acting as an integral member of a product delivery team, and meeting time‑critical delivery schedules.
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications – skills, education & experience – and the position level. $80,000 – $90,0000
