Job summary

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group, LLC (DRCG) seeks a Systems Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of computer systems and virtualization, install and upgrade components, and manage virtual servers. You will develop automated data integration tools and APIs, support web services, and ensure secure data exchange via SFTP.

The role requires Top-Secret clearance, experience with AWS/Azure and FedRAMP, and readiness to travel onsite to Clarksburg, WV as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Familiarity with Web Services (WSDLs, SOAP/REST).
• Proficiency in Python, PHP, JavaScript; Windows/Unix/Linux systems.
• Database experience: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, PL/SQL, T-SQL.
• SFTP, XML, XML schemas, APIs; web servers like Tomcat and Apache.
• Cloud exposure to AWS and Azure, FedRAMP knowledge is a plus.

Location: Remote (but must be able/willing to go onsite in Clarksburg, WV monthly, quarterly, and/or annually)

The Systems Engineer will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. Will be responsible for installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes. Will troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing their impact. Will develop, maintain, and utilize automated tools to support all components of data integration services, as well as support and maintain web services, and SFTP connections. The Systems Engineer will also develop and use various ETL products and other automated data integration tools, recommending and implementing standardization in the data integration process, developing, maintaining, and upgrading existing data integration projects, including new vendor solutions.

Required skills and knowledge

• Applied experience creating and maintaining data applications and tools that support the data integration process.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and assisting agencies with Web Services Description Languages (WSDLs), Java KeyStore (JKSs), security certificates, and encryption usage.
• Proficiency with web services, including SOAP and RESTful protocols.
• Competence in developing and troubleshooting software tools, applications, and utilities using languages including Python, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), and JavaScript, as well as demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining computer systems across Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms.
• Applied experience in developing and maintaining software data integration tools, requiring hands-on skill in Java, Python, and C#.
• Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining databases, including PostgreSQL, Linux SQL, SQLite, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Oracle.
• Configure thin client executable code that utilizes SFTP to send XML files and must demonstrate in installing and configuring Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) web servers, both in the cloud and on premises, to handle static and dynamic web content and manage Java Servlets and JSP, including Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server.
• Competence with transforming languages and schemas, including XML, XSLT, XSD, and DTD, and must demonstrate applied skill in maintaining and troubleshooting various Java applications while creating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to facilitate information sharing efforts.
• Ability producing data integration applications from various data sources to a specified XML data format, using data standards and validation tools, and demonstrate skill in maintaining and troubleshooting SFTP data connections as part of core responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, particularly FedRAMP-compliant Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Cloud, as well as demonstrated familiarity of Law Enforcement data and IEPD specifications, is required.
