This hybrid position is located at our East Syracuse, NY, office. We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Systems Engineer to design, integrate, tune, and commission advanced ATM systems as part of our Automation and Surveillance team. The role offers opportunities to travel internationally, acquire a diverse range of practical engineering experience, and interact with customers around the world.

Job Responsibilities

• Predictive Modelling, Analysis, and Design of sensor networks
• Development of System Architectures to meet customer requirements
• System‑level Integration and Test
• Performance Analysis and Optimization of installed systems
• Troubleshooting and resolving system anomalies
• Writing technical documentation, including Test Procedures, Test Reports, Architecture Documents, and Analysis Reports
• Coordination with internal stakeholders for project planning and execution (including PMs, CM, QA, Production, and Product Development teams)
• Interfacing directly with customers to understand requirements, develop solutions, and demonstrate compliance
• Contributing to process improvements by developing or enhancing documentation, procedures, tools, etc.

Compensation

• $92,200 - $115,300 (general guideline; final offer based on role, responsibilities, location, market, and candidate qualifications)

Skills and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or computer science from an accredited institution or relevant military education & training
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Detail‑orientation with strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Technical background to learn the theory of operation, design, and optimization processes for ATM surveillance and automation systems
• Ability to understand customer requirements and develop system‑level architectures and integration & test strategies to meet those requirements
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and collaboration with both technical and non‑technical colleagues and customers
• Interest in international travel and ability to work with technical counterparts from different countries and cultures

Desired Expertise

• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Familiarity with IP networks
