Job summary

Set of X seeks a System Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex data flows across storage, transport, and security domains. You will partner with mission customers to clean and transform raw data into usable formats and enhance overall data reliability.

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. The role offers a competitive compensation package and a collaborative team focused on impactful government contracting work.

• Experience using the Linux CLI to manage data flows.
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex data flows.
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas for processing and distribution.
• Experience with corporate data flow processes and tools.
• Experience with corporate data security and compliance procedures.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience writing Bash/Python scripts.
• Experience with IaC and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack).
• General HPC knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Grafana.

The System Engineer shall be responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management. Additional tasking includes working with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform and convert the raw data into the required formats. The contractor shall also be responsible for devising methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability.

Position Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
• Experience with Corporate data flow processes and tools
• Experience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Position Desired Skills

• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet and SaltStack
• General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage components
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana

Clearance:
