Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Anaheim, CA. This role covers System Architecture/Design and I&T, supporting the product through its full lifecycle.

You will develop technical documentation, perform verification and validation, and lead small teams while coordinating with stakeholders. DoD Secret clearance and a BS in engineering with 4+ years of related experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work under general supervision to set objectives.
  • Assist in system requirements analysis, architecture/design, preliminary and detailed design, integration, and fielding support.
  • Assist in requirements analysis using DOORS, UML, SysML, MBSE and other systems engineering practices.
  • Contribute to milestones and gate reviews.
  • Assist in planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost/risk analyses.
  • Maintain standards compliance.

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Anaheim, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
  • Experience with all aspects of SEIT and product development best practices and their applications given program needs.
  • Experience in integrated product teams.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is responsible for supporting the two main areas of Systems Engineering: System Architecture/Design and Integration and Test (I&T). The role supports the technical success of the product, from an overall systems engineering perspective, working all aspects of the full systems life cycle development process (the big V).

  • Lead the development of technical documentation in support of engineering solutions that include, but are not limited to, test procedures, test reports, architectural drawings, detailed design specifications, and implementation instructions.
  • Perform formal verification, qualification, and validation testing.
  • Lead small teams to complete tasks on-time and on-budget.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work under general supervision to set objectives.
  • Assist in engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration, and fielding support.
  • Assist in the performance of requirements analysis using DOORS, UML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML), and other system engineering practices.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones and subsequent gate reviews.
  • Assist in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk analyses for total systems.
  • Maintain standards compliance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
  • Familiarity with the military/defense contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in DOORS.
  • AGILE development experience.
  • Integration and Test experience utilizing oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.
  • IGBT, MOSFET, or power conversion experience.
  • Experience with power supplies greater than 10,000 W.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline (Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or Physics) and minimum 4 years of prior related experience,
