The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security Systems Engineering (AS2E) team provides operational support for security services in US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions. The team is focused on doing more with less by improving operational health and reducing manual toil for these security services. The team delivers on high-impact, high-visibility projects, and you have the opportunity to join us!

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

The AS2E organization offers engineers a unique ability to have significant impact in ADC regions, to advance their careers, and to collaborate across AWS on challenging business problems. You will have the opportunity to automate repetitive tasks, influence partner teams, impact team goals, optimize team processes, provide technical decision making, and independently resolve complex problems. Basic Qualifications

• Associate\'s degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
• 1+ years of systems development experience
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience with distributed systems at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
