Job summary

SHINE Systems seeks an Expert Systems Integrator to lead and oversee the integrity of NSG/ASG enterprise solutions. You will guide planning, testing, documentation, and end-to-end SDLC activities for cloud services and subsystems, ensuring effective exposure of new sources and suppliers.

You will translate mission needs into product capabilities, drive roadmap sequencing with product managers, and collaborate across IPOs, CDO, and CIOT to achieve program goals in a fast-paced government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 18+ years experience in Systems Integrator roles.
• 18+ years of experience in DoD/IC Acquisition Process, NGA Production and Dissemination, IC TCPED.
• Expert experience in system integration or system engineering in government or industry.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
• Proficiency in Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) frameworks and Common Core Ontologies (CCO).
• Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering and related tools.
• Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
• Experience in geospatial intelligence field.
• Knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, geomatics.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert advice on vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process/capability developments.
• Conducts solution assessments, scheduling analysis, and integration across product lines.
• Translate mission requirements into products and capabilities; align with backlog and roadmap.
• Plan, analyze, trace requirements, and review cloud service capabilities to improve workflows.
• Provide expertise to interpret and implement customer data requirements.
• Influence IPOs, CDO, and CIOT capability providers to meet Content Conveyance goals.
• Assist with AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessments.
• Lead teams for design, implementation, and governance of ontology frameworks.
• Support strategic planning, project management, performance and risk management.
• Work independently and as a team leader under tight deadlines.

About The Role

Expert Systems Integrators support the Government by leading and overseeing the integrity of the NSG/ASG systems-of-systems enterprise. They lead and oversee planning, implementation approaches, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for total cloud services, systems or subsystems using defined processes and tools. They provide end-to-end system development life cycle support to the program Provide Subject Matter Expertise to shorten the timeline associated with adopting, integrating, and properly exposing new Sources/Suppliers products/services and develop trade space options for efficient planning, programming, budgeting, and execution cycles.

Duties include:

• Provides expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
• Conducts solution assessments, scheduling analysis, and integration across IPO product lines and other services to enable mission functions.
• Capture and translate mission and customer requirements into products and capabilities for optimized solutions; partner with Product Managers for backlog grooming and roadmap sequencing of features.
• Conducts: planning; captures, analyzes, traces user requirements; architecture traceability, procedures, and problem identification to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations for existing user workflows and to enable improvements.
• Provide expertise to interpret and implement customer data requirements
• Ability to effectively influence and seamlessly work with IPOs, Chief Data Officer (CDO), and other CIOT capability providers to meet the goals of Content Conveyance
• Assists with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
• Provides expert-level support by leading technical teams for the design, implementation, and governance of processes and frameworks of ontology that guide the creation, management, evolution, and use of Foundation GEOINT consistent with organizational requirements.
• Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
• Strong team player, self-starter, comfortable working in a complex/multifaceted development environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader under tight deadlines managing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-contractor / government organization
• Maintain and track an Agile schedule in an appropriate project management capability (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Location: This position is 100% onsite in Springfield, Virginia. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, ontologies, or related STEM degree program, or 18+ years work experience as a Systems Integrator.
• 18+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, NGA Production and Dissemination, IC TCPED.
• Expert experience working system integration or system engineering experience in government or industry.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly

• Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in using Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) frameworks and implementing Common Core Ontologies (CCO).
