Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks a highly skilled Systems Analyst to support a mission-critical lab environment onsite in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex networks while integrating diverse technologies to meet the organization’s technical needs.

You will provide enterprise network engineering and sustainment for DoD environments, with emphasis on HPE Aruba infrastructure and Naval operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Five years of technical experience across LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, and related protocols.
  • Experience with RMF accreditation and RMF processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to explain issues to stakeholders.
  • Experience with DoD network environments and security tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Providing enterprise network engineering, troubleshooting, and sustainment support for DoD network environments, with emphasis on HPE Aruba infrastructure and Naval network operations.
  • Performing configuration analysis, change implementation, technical documentation, incident resolution, and modernization support across routing, switching, transport, VPN, and enclave connectivity environments.
  • Requiring strong technical judgment, disciplined execution, and effective coordination with government customers, cybersecurity teams, operations personnel, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Providing general engineering and administrative support for Navy platforms.
  • Focusing on Cyber Security activities, including scanning, patching, system engineering, vulnerability management, artifact authoring, and supporting RMF accreditation steps.
  • Leading monthly patching requirements, IAVA remediations, EXORDS, and driving to ensure system security.
  • Executing change management processes in support of configuration management and system enhancements.
  • Participating in and providing inputs for accreditation and RMF processes.
  • Developing system level documentation, as needed.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $75,650.00/Yr. - USD $126,050.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Description

Seekinga highly skilled and experienced systems analyst supporting a mission critical lab environment onsite in Norfolk, VA. The role involves designing, implementing,maintaining, and troubleshootingcomplex networks, integrating various technologies, and supporting theorganization’s technical needs.

  • Providing enterprise network engineering, troubleshooting, and sustainment support for DoD network environments, with emphasis on HPE Aruba infrastructure and Naval network operations

  • Participating in and providing inputs for accreditation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
  • Developing system level documentation, as needed

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

Requirements
  • Ability to obtain CSWF / DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues, risks, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Fiveyears of technical experience in7or more of the following:
  • Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) protocols (i.e., TCP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, GRE Tunnels etc.)
  • Virtualized layer 2 and layer 3 network configuration and operations (Virtual Distributed Switches,VRF’s,VLAN’s, Static/Dynamic Routing, Access Control Lists)
  • NSAType 1 Network Encryptionand FIPS 140-3 standards
  • Network security,testand evaluation tools (i.e.,WireShark,iPERF,etc)
  • Juniper, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, Cisco technologies
  • Virtualized Environments (VMware products)
  • Network discovery and security compliance scans using ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and Tenable Nessus; analysis ofraw scan outputs and prioritize remediations
  • Experience with SD WAN, network automation, configuration automation, scripting, orchestration, or other tools used to improve network deployment, monitoring, and sustainment
  • Experience supporting installation readiness reviews post implementation validation (PITCO, SOVT,etc)
  • Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), firmware/OS security patches, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages
  • Experience high-level and low-level network designs
  • Familiarity withNaval networks
Desired Skills
  • Cisco Certified NetworkAssociate(CCNA)certification or higher
  • Experience supporting hardware/software baseline controls, network topology diagrams in MS Visio, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)and test plans
  • Experience supporting NIPR, SIPR, coalition, or multi-enclave network environments
Clearance Information
