IGNITE is seeking a driven Systems Analyst III to support the MDA Chief Engineer in transforming engineering approaches using model-based systems engineering (MBSE). The role emphasizes moving away from document-driven methods and strengthening system modeling capabilities.

Ideal candidates have MBSE tool experience (SysML, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink) and a track record of collaboration across teams, with a Secret clearance and a STEM Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in STEM field or related area.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering disciplines.
• Active Secret clearance required to access sensitive programs.
• Strong MBSE experience and ability to model complex systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across disciplines.
• Experience with interface or interoperability domains is a plus.

Position

We are currently seeking a driven, detail‑oriented Systems Analyst III to join our team. In this role you will support the MDA Chief Engineer in transforming the way in which the agency approaches engineering. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with MBSE tools and is interested in utilizing those tools to help move the agency away from document‑driven engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with capturing and developing new system models to become the backbone for how MDA will approach future engineering efforts.
• Leverage your skills with a variety of MBSE tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to collaborate on models.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years of experience
• Active Secret clearance
• Strong model‑based engineering experience
• Ability to excel in a team setting
• Experience with interface or interoperability engineering domains

Desired Qualifications

• Expertise in MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo, MathWorks Simulink, MATLAB, Visio, ModelCenter, etc.)
• MDA Experience
• Expertise in C2, data transport, PNT, or interoperability

Security Clearance Requirements

Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.
