Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Systems Analyst for the Neurological Clinical Research Institute (NCRI) to provide in-house System expertise and second-tier support across multiple projects. You will develop requirements for new modules, assist with audits, and create training programs for NCRI staff.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, plus experience with clinical trial systems and data management. Hybrid work location in Boston area is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field is required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in software applications or clinical research IT support.
  • Experience with clinical trial systems and data management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAS and database programming is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the System to serve as in-house expert and triage issues.
  • Provide second-tier System support for NCRI personnel.
  • Develop specification requirements for new System modules.
  • Support internal or sponsor-initiated audits.
  • Create training programs for System modules and processes.
  • Install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain the System.
  • Coordinate testing and validation procedures between NCRI and software developers.
  • Develop user and functional specifications for System and clinical trials.

To empower the NCRI in its mission, and to capture and manage information from clinical research,The NCRI develops, maintains, and deploys several software platforms and programs. Working independently under the minimal supervision of the Director, Clinical Bioinformatics of the NCRI, the Systems Analyst will: Acquire detailed knowledge of the System to serve as an in-house expert and to triage issues andenhancement requests from the professional and support staff Provide second-tier support in using the System to the NCRI personnel Develop specification requirements for new System modules Support internal or sponsor -initiated audits Create training programs for the various modules of the System Install, support, troubleshoot, and maintain the System The Neurology Clinical Research Institute is looking for a motivated team player with the ability to provide a high level of services while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
