Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD seeks a System Analyst to support ERP and related systems under the IT Business Systems Manager. You will learn and implement improvements, educate users, manage timelines, and ensure quality control within a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in CS (or related field) and at least four years of experience in healthcare software support, development, data analysis, scripting, and small project management, plus Workday report/integration

Responsibilities

  • Performs user group facilitation; meeting preparation, facilitation, feedback, request prioritization and status updates.
  • Proposes system solutions to address business problems and educates users on options, pros/cons, ETA.
  • Ensures all application changes follow change control for quality and to avoid issues.
  • Serves as the single communication conduit to MIS vendor(s) and user community for changes to primary ownership.
  • Identifies gaps between user needs and MIS resources to educate/assist on business payback for resource allocation.
  • Resolves technical issues to assigned applications in a timely manner based on priority and options.
  • Manages projects to defined timeline and budget using standard tools (charter, workplan, issues list, budget).
  • Mentors team members and users; provides input for better outcomes.

Job description

Under supervision of the IT Business Systems Manager, and according to established policies and procedures, the System Analyst will assist the IT Business Systems Manager and Senior Systems Analysts in the maintenance, support, and enhancement of the ERP and ancillary systems for GBMC. Relevant knowledge and skills include familiarity with healthcare-specific business process, excellent written and oral communication skills, data analysis and interpretation, business process analysis, and software application lifecycle support. The System Analyst will help execute and deliver solutions proposed by senior team members that are designed to address identified business problems, educate users, manage timelines and expectations, and ensure quality control, and assist with mentorship of junior team members.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science or other closely related field or applicable experienceExperience4 years’ experience with support software applications; experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.4 years’ experience in software development/engineering, data analysis, scripting.
