Job summary

JHNA seeks a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program in Patuxent River, MD. You will lead Foreign Disclosure reviews, mentor team members, and ensure secure information handling in line with DoD guidance.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and virtual infrastructure, backups, and application hosting, with a focus on RMF compliance and DoD standards. An Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Systems Administration experience.
• RMF compliance experience required (SC/NAVY/DoD guidance)
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
• Experience reviewing and documenting information releases for international participants
• Familiarity with STIG execution and security controls

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on servers and IT equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers and workstations.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across systems.
• Deploy and maintain software applications and services.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues for DoD customers.
• Maintain documentation including knowledge base and configurations.
• Participate in Agile project planning and DoD project tasks.

OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee Location: Patuxent River, MD Aether Aerospace is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program office in Patuxent River, MD. Candidate will provide analysis and high-level support as the senior member of a major program office Foreign Disclosure team. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and documenting the release of information to international participants and providing mentorship and Senior-level review to the Foreign Disclosure team. Salary: $75,000-$100,000 There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.

ROLES

• Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance
• Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
• Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Years of Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Systems Administration Experience
• Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience a must (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution)
• CompTIA Sec+
