Agile Defense is seeking a Systems Administrator - UNIX to manage RedHat Linux servers at Fort Huachuca, AZ onsite. The role requires DoD 8140 certifications, RedHat/Unix admin credentials, and an Active Secret clearance.

You will perform server config, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and on-call support supporting critical missions. Responsibilities include system hardening per DISA STIG, automation of tasks, and collaboration with teams to meet mission deadlines.

Qualifications

• DoW 8140 Compliance - CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Systems Security Certified Practitioner
• Certifications in RedHat Linux or Unix OS administration
• Active Secret US security clearance
• Bachelor's in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and maintain servers running RedHat Linux operating systems, adhering to established internal processes.
• Schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
• Monitor log files and system performance to identify and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems in mission-critical systems.
• Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and, when necessary, perform data recoveries.
• Configure hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for UNIX/Linux-related issues and provide general technical support for system users.
• Follow standard operating procedures to maintain and enhance the security posture of the environment, including adherence to the DISA STIG process.
• Schedule tasks using software support tools and scripts.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals, effectively setting priorities and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Essential Job Duties

Responsibilities include:

• System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers running RedHat Linux operating systems, adhering to established internal processes.
• Upgrades and Maintenance: Recommend hardware and software upgrades based on growth statistics. Schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
• Monitoring and Performance: Monitor log files and system performance to identify and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems in mission-critical systems.
• Backups and Recovery: Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and, when necessary, perform data recoveries.
• Hardware Configuration: Configure hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for UNIX/Linux-related issues and provide general technical support for system users.
