Noblis MSD seeks Systems Administrators to support Navy tactical network systems aboard U.S. Navy ships and shore facilities, providing 24x7 on-call support, upgrades, security management, and system documentation.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (5am-12pm, 1pm-9pm, 9pm-5am) and deploy aboard ships
  • Some travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstations, file servers, and web servers
  • Install hardware, software, and systems upgrades for ADNS, CANES, ISNS, CENTRIXS, and related systems
  • Manage network accounts, network security, and local system design documentation
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
  • Provide 24x7 on-call Help Desk support via telephone, chat, and email for afloat networks
  • Perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting for end-users and fleet customers
  • Train staff on software applicable to their positions and assist customers with IT issues
  • Monitor system configuration (hardware and software) and provide instruction on computers and applications
  • Document all work in HELIX and PEO C4I approved remedy databases
  • Support network validation and configuration checkout (VC) and system grooms
  • Provide on-site technical assistance aboard U.S. Navy ships worldwide
  • Support Alteration Installation Technical (AIT) activities including software pre-loads, shipboard alterations, and system activation

We seek talented professionals to support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, Code 41250, in San Diego, CA. This program sustains, maintains, and modernizes the Navy’s afloat and ashore tactical network systems - including Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System - Maritime (CENTRIXS-M), Communications as a Service (CaaS), Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Networks, Agile Core Services (ACS), Software Defined Networks (SDN), Tactical Afloat Next Generation Networks (TNGN) - ensuring fleet readiness and operational superiority across the global naval enterprise.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Required Qualifications

Level II ($71,800 – $112,150)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 3 years professional experience in systems administration, OR master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 1 year of experience in systems administration.

Level III ($86,800 – $135,625)

  • Master's degree (MS) in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 7 years of experience in systems administration, OR bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 12 years professional experience in systems administration.
Desired Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ and CASP+ or equivalent advanced IA certifications
  • Experience with Navy afloat network systems (CANES, ADNS, ISNS, SCI Networks)
  • Advanced administration experience with Cisco switches/routers, Windows Server, and Linux
  • Experience leading technical teams in military network environments
  • Experience with DevSecOps and automated monitoring tools

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part-time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it’s just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
