Job summary

The Kansas City Royals are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise Technology team. This role focuses on administering and maintaining the Microsoft technology environment, with responsibilities spanning Azure, AWS, and GCP, virtualization, networking, backup, and security to support our stadium operations and fan experiences.

Responsibilities include managing Microsoft 365 services, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, and on-prem/ cloud integrations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in systems administration or related tech environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Experience with Entra ID/Active Directory and MFA/CA policies.
• Experience with Intune and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with Defender and security technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, DNS/DHCP, and virtualization.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Understanding of Azure, AWS, and GCP basics.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing.
• Manage Entra ID/Active Directory users, groups, and policies; implement MFA and CA.
• Support Intune device management and security policies.
• Maintain Windows Server, virtualization, DNS/DHCP, and file services.
• Support cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and integrations with on-premise systems.
• Contribute to security, patching, backup, and recovery processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and event support as needed.
