Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Waco, TX seeks a Specialist, Systems Administration to administer Linux and Windows servers, manage AD accounts, and implement security policies. The role requires experience with RMF processes using eMASS or Xacta and reporting tasks.

On-site position with up to 25% travel, active TS/SCI clearance, and DoD 8140 certification; strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash are preferred to automate tasks and maintain system integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 4+ years of related experience; graduate degree +2 years; or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory account management and security policies.
• Security+ or DoD 8140 approved certification for IAT Level II.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
• Experience with system monitoring tools and antivirus software.
• Familiarity with RMF processes for Continuous Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Linux and Windows servers, ensuring uptime.
• Perform updates, patches, and backups to maintain security and integrity.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.
• Implement and monitor security policies for access control.
• Audit accounts and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Write detailed technical and operational reports.
