Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. in Orlando, FL, seeks an Intermediate-Level Systems Administrator to join the team. The role covers administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Microsoft technologies, and virtualization, AD, and enterprise services. DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification is required or pursued within six months.

Qualifications

  • Four or more years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Experience performing system maintenance, patch management, backup and recovery operations.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar.
  • Baseline certification within six months of hire.
  • IAT Level II certification or DoD 8570/8140 equivalent or higher.

Link Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher is required

The Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level)will support the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC) and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.

This position works closely with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of Government systems. The ideal candidate will possess hands‑on experience supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral equipment.

Compensation Range:
  • $80,000 - $100,000 annually
  • Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education.

  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher perDoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security,GICSP,GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Four (4+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Experience performing system maintenance, patch management, backup and recovery operations, and troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or similar platforms.
  • Experience administering enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam, NetBackup, or HPE StoreOnce.
  • Knowledge of server monitoring, performance tuning, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration, cloud services, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability remediation, and systems hardening.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity operations.\
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
  • Experience working with networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2016 or later operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Experience supporting VMware and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with ACAS, Nessus, Retina, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based environments and cloud migration efforts.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
