Job summary

Software Technology Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support a highly available hybrid infrastructure spanning on‑prem Windows and Linux servers and cloud environments.

You will ensure seamless connectivity between cloud and on‑prem systems, assist with database migration, and maintain secure, reliable services. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Windows/Linux administration, strong networking fundamentals, and experience with F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto, VMware/Hyper-V, and monitoring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Windows/Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting tools.
• Experience with F5, Palo Alto, VMware/Hyper-V, and monitoring tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud infrastructure.
• Support hybrid connectivity, VPNs, routing, DNS, and identity services.
• Assist with database migration and replication projects.
• Administer F5 BIG-IP load balancers and support Palo Alto firewalls.
• Perform patching, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support incident response, system upgrades, deployments, and automation.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

This role focuses on ensuring seamless connectivity between cloud and on‑prem systems, supporting database migration initiatives, and maintaining secure, reliable, and performant enterprise services. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in load balancing, firewalls, and foundational networking, along with a growing skillset in cloud operations and infrastructure modernization.
