Montana-Dakota Utilities is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the Energy Management System (EMS) and SCADA environments in the United States. The role emphasizes NERC CIP compliance, design of hardware/software, and ensuring reliable, secure operations across all systems.
Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and upgrades of EMS/SCADA components, along with leadership in disaster recovery planning and elevated support for Windows, VMware, and Linux platforms.
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Under direction of higher-level administrators, responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, problem resolution, monitoring, and control of the assigned hardware, software, operating systems, security systems and file structures.
Systems Administrator, Sr: In support of the Company's Energy Management System (EMS), this position is responsible for NERC CIP compliance, as well as design of the assigned hardware, software, operating systems, security systems and file structures.
Systems Administrator I: ($63,860 - $79,830)
Requires knowledge of systems administration, programming, and networking at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field; and
Two years' experience providing technical support for the hardware, operating system software, security systems and file structures for an IT infrastructure.
Systems Administrator II: ($73,460 - $91,830)
Requires knowledge of systems administration, programming, and networking at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field; and
Four years' experience providing technical support for the hardware, operating system software, security systems and file structures for an IT infrastructure.
Systems Administrator, Sr: ($84,460 - $105,570)
Requires knowledge of programming and networking at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in computer science, information technology (IT) or related field; and
Six years' experience providing technical support for various operating systems, security systems, file structures, servers and PC hardware.
Systems Administrator, Sr:
Professional certifications in the assigned areas of responsibility such as Windows Server, Oracle, CISCO, VMware, and Tripwire.
Familiarity with Linux operating system.
NERC/CIP compliance experience.
Switch, firewall, and RTU configuration and programming experience.
Install, manage, patch, and upgrade EMS/SCADA applications and affiliated downstream systems.
Additional to the above, the Systems Administrator, Sr:
Leads/participates in the development, ongoing maintenance and testing of a disaster recovery plan. Develop procedures to recover EMS/SCADA applications and affiliated systems.
