Job description

Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Lancaster, Texas DC - Lancaster, TX 75146Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $97,000.00 - $116,000.00 Salary/yearJob Category: Information TechnologyAt Core Health & Fitness, our purpose is to live and share our passion for fitness. We bring innovative health and fitness solutions to the global market with brands like StairMaster, Schwinn, Nautilus, Star Trac, Throwdown, Wexer, Gym Rax and we’re still growing. We press into the future of fitness to ensure the creation of quality products and programming that meet the needs of an ever-evolving industry.

About the Role

Core Health & Fitness is a global manufacturer and distributor of commercial fitness equipment, representing several of the leading brands in the industry. Our IT Infrastructure team supports more than 400 users across our global footprint, spanning manufacturing, distribution, corporate, and field operations.

We are hiring a Systems Administrator, Distribution Operations to join our global IT Infrastructure team, based at our Lancaster, Texas facility — the company’s primary North American distribution hub. This is a full member of the global infrastructure organization, not a site-only support role. You will contribute to enterprise infrastructure projects, standards, and operations alongside colleagues on the West Coast, while owning the on-site technical footprint of our highest-throughput fulfillment location.

Our infrastructure team currently operates almost entirely from the Pacific time zone. Establishing a Central-time presence extends our operational coverage, shortens response times for a distribution environment, and strengthens our resilience against off-hours incidents. The person in this role becomes a key part of that coverage model — and a trusted technical voice in how the global team designs and operates distributed sites.

This is a hands-on generalist position spanning servers, networking, endpoints, cloud, and security. It suits someone who wants both the breadth of enterprise infrastructure work and the ownership that comes with being the senior technical presence at a business-critical site.

Why this role matters

The Lancaster distribution center is the operational backbone of our North American business. Order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse operations across the region depend on the systems at this site staying available.

You are the person who keeps them running — and the Central-time anchor that closes a real coverage gap for our global team.

Key Responsibilities
Global Infrastructure Contribution
  • Serve as a full member of the global IT Infrastructure team, participating in enterprise projects, architecture discussions, standards development, and change management alongside Pacific-time colleagues.
  • Provide Central-time monitoring and first response for infrastructure and security events, extending team coverage and escalating to the global infrastructure and security teams as needed.
  • Support cloud workloads across Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI, in coordination with the infrastructure team.
  • Contribute to enterprise documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base content that reduce key-person dependencies and enable cross-training across the global team.
  • Act as a subject-matter resource to the broader IT organization on distribution and warehouse technology, informing standards applied at other Core sites.
Site Infrastructure Operations
  • Own the on-site infrastructure footprint at the Lancaster distribution center, ensuring high availability of the systems supporting warehouse, shipping, and fulfillment operations.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain minimal on-premise Windows servers and supporting infrastructure, including patching, firmware updates, backup verification, and capacity planning.
  • Manage local network infrastructure — switching, wireless, VLANs, and firewalls — and coordinate primary and backup ISP connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate asset, configuration, and network documentation for the site within enterprise standards.
Distribution & Warehouse Technology
  • Support distribution-specific hardware and software including shipping systems (UPS WorldShip / ShipExec), scan guns, Zebra label printers, tablets, and warehouse peripherals.
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure technology uptime directly supports shipping SLAs and order-fulfillment throughput.
  • Troubleshoot integrations between warehouse and shipping tools and core business systems, including Oracle EBS (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM).
  • Identify and drive improvements that reduce recurring downtime or manual workaround in the fulfillment workflow.
End-User & Endpoint Support
  • Provide on-site and remote support for local end users across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Manage endpoint provisioning, security, and lifecycle through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365; support conference-room AV and local print services.
  • Act as the escalation point for the service desk on complex, site-specific issues.
Security Operations
  • Operate within and help enforce enterprise cybersecurity tooling and policy at the site.
  • Assist with alert triage, vulnerability remediation, and incident response in coordination with the information security team.
  • Uphold access control, least-privilege, and change control standards, including privileged access management practices for site systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Five or more years of hands-on systems administration experience in a multi-site, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID.
  • Solid working knowledge of virtualization (VMware), backup solutions (Veeam), and SAN/NAS storage.
  • Practical networking skills: switching, wireless, VLANs, firewalls, and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Endpoint management experience with Microsoft Intune across Windows and macOS.
  • Working familiarity with core security concepts: MFA, least-privilege access, endpoint protection, and patch management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as the senior on-site technical presence while collaborating effectively with a geographically distributed team.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer-service, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site (3-4 days/week) in Lancaster, Texas and occasionally at a secondary site in the Dallas Metro area.
  • Experience managing business AV systems (conference room tech, TV content, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience supporting warehouse and distribution technology — WMS platforms, shipping software, barcode scanners, and industrial label printers.
  • Hands-on exposure to Azure, Oracle OCI, or AWS.
  • Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell or Python.Experience with enterprise security tooling (Palo Alto Cortex XDR, or similar) and ITSM platforms (Freshservice).
  • Prior experience as the sole or lead technical resource at a distributed site.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Security+, Microsoft MS-102 or AZ-104, VMware VCP, or Cisco CCNA.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Mostly On-site position at the Lancaster, Texas distribution center, operating on Central Time.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 50lbs) and hands-on work with equipment in a warehouse environment; occasional travel to other Core Health & Fitness locations may be required.
Growth Path

This role is positioned as a senior individual-contributor seat within the global IT Infrastructure team. Successful performance opens progression toward Senior Systems Administrator or specialization in cloud, network, or security engineering as the infrastructure organization continues to expand.
