Job summary

Yakshna Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to support the Virginia Retirement Systems data platform initiative. The role involves documenting current-state processes, gathering business needs, and translating them into detailed requirements for a new data platform.

You will map data flows, support testing, and assist with change management to ensure successful adoption. Location is Washington, D.C. onsite with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering and documenting requirements, improving business and technical processes.
• Experience in writing technical documentation (requirements, process maps, etc.).
• Excellent communicator with ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investment stakeholders to document current-state processes, systems, and data flows, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct interviews and working sessions to capture business needs and translate them into clear requirements for the new data platform.
• Elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements to support platform design and implementation.
• Support the definition of future-state workflows and operating models aligned with the new investment data platform.
• Develop a strong understanding of existing investment and data architecture, including integration points and dependencies.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including current-state assessments, future-state designs, and data-flow diagrams.
• Assist with data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities during platform implementation.
• Develop and execute testing strategies, including user acceptance testing to ensure successful delivery of platform capabilities.
• Support change management and transition activities to ensure adoption of new processes and systems.
• Provide ongoing support through data analysis, reporting, and process refinement as the platform is implemented and stabilized.
• Contributed to special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the IDS Research Director.
