Job summary

Raye IT Consulting, LLC is seeking an adaptable Systems Administrator to support a federal client in the Washington, D.C. area.

The role focuses on supporting systems, users and applications, including converged hardware and VMware. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and 5+ years of system engineering experience, with preferred Azure administration certification and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and deploying patches.
• Create, upgrade, and manage server infrastructure.
• Manage group policy.
• Configure and use Microsoft Azure.
• Create SOPs for standard operations.
• Manage Domain Controllers.
• Manage certificates for Domain Controllers and webservers.
• Account management.
• Monitor server status.
• VPN management and access control.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Provide Tier 2 & 3 support and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop systems engineering planning documents and perform SE&I for information management systems.
• Develop, manage and follow systems engineering and software development processes for end-to-end integration and improved service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to streamline software administration and site development processes with government approval.

Raye IT is looking for an adaptable and flexible Systems Administrator to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C. area. The Systems Administrator is responsible supporting systems, users and applications. It is a technical position. In addition, will be responsible for handling end user support issues and administration of converged hardware and VMWare.

Raye IT Consulting is looking to add an experienced Systems Administrator to their team. This role will be supporting systems, network infrastructure and data center environments.This critical role must be available to travel onsite to Silver Spring, MD twice a week to perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

• Identify and with government approval, implement opportunities to streamline and enhance software administration, site development processes and procedures, and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of system engineering experience

Preferred: Azure administration Certification.
