Job summary

RedSky is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Core Services for a DoD client on-site in Tampa, Florida. You will ensure the security, availability, and performance of Windows servers and SecureView infrastructure while partnering with IT teams.

Responsibilities include patch management, PKI handling, and system hardening to meet DISA DoD cybersecurity standards. A DoD 8140/8570 certification and active SECRET clearance are required.

Job description

RedSky has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator supporting Core Services for our DoD client on-site in Tampa, Florida. This role focuses on regular patching, troubleshooting, and collaboration with IT teams to implement robust Core Services that meet command requirements. The successful candidate will ensure the security, availability, and optimal performance of Windows servers and SecureView infrastructure.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues within Windows Server 2019/2022 Operating Systems.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including patching and remediation.
• Manage certificate lifecycle management processes for web servers and secure communication channels.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Ensure that SecureView adheres to all Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements for secure communication and authentication across different security levels and domains.
• Build, deploy, and maintain server applications and proprietary software.
• Install critical system patches and perform system upgrades.
• Install, configure, and maintain the SecureView environment to support multi-level security for USCENTCOM operations.
• Interact with end-users to understand and evaluate functional requirements.
• Interface with third-party vendors for troubleshooting and support.
• Maintain system documentation and prepare process guides.
• Manage SecureView configurations for different classification levels across multiple security domains.
• Support projects to enhance operational efficiency and security.
• Track and
• Produce management reports and informational packets to support process improvements.
• Conduct continuous compliance, authorization processes, and Risk Management Framework package lifecycle maintenance in alignment with DoW cybersecurity standards.
• Execute system hardening and vulnerability management by implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, tracking security baselines, and coordinating timely security patch deployment across enterprise systems.
• Manage the Plan of Action and Milestones lifecycle, identifying root causes of compliance gaps, defining measurable remediation milestones, and driving technical mitigation to ensure sustained mission readiness.

Additional Responsibilities

• System performance tuning and optimization.
• Review and preparation of comprehensive documentation for systems.
• Support cross-functional IT teams and projects.

Education And Certifications

• Required: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance concentration preferred) or Three (3) years of real-world or military experience in information assurance, network security, or systems administration.

Required Skills
