Job summary

Usertech/Canterbury seeks a System Administrator to sustain HPC environments across diverse servers. You will perform IT system administration, daily operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and OS/network tuning to ensure reliable performance.

You’ll optimize storage, plan capacity, and maintain HPC clusters, collaborating with engineers to support missions that strengthen national security.

Qualifications

• Top Secret clearance with poly (Non-Negotiable).
• B.S. degree in a technical discipline required.
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA).
• Three years of demonstrable system administration experience or eight years in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support HPC sustainment across multi-vendor servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers.
• IT system administration, daily operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, OS and network configuration.
• Storage optimization and capacity planning for HPC environments.

As the System Administrator, you’ll get to support High Performance Computing (HPC) sustainment across multi-vendor servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers. Responsibilities include IT system administration, daily operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, OS and network configuration, storage optimization, and capacity planning. Maintain HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. Requirements

Required Skills – IT Systems Support and Administration:

• Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems.


• Troubleshoot, maintain, and configure network components.


• Implement OS enhancements to improve Reliability, Performance Optimization, and Capacity Planning


• Optimize system operations and resource utilization


• Perform system storage capacity analysis and planning (Strong Storage Skills Desired)


• Configure and manage Linux, Unix, Windows, and other applicable operating systems.


• Install and load operating system software.


• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.


• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.


• Escalate issues and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers. Operating Systems and Infrastructure Management
