Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a System Administrator to maintain and modernize IT infrastructure. The role requires hands-on Windows and VM administration, AD, and Azure. Must be fluent in English and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth operations.

• On-site 5 days a week at the office.
• Experience installing, configuring, and administering Windows servers and Linux systems.
• Experience managing Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, security).
• Experience with Veeam Backup infrastructure and SOBR.
• Experience with SCCM infrastructure and patching.
• Proficient with SQL administration (DB maintenance, backups, DR).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts or automation.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and documentation writing.

• Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and security.
• Manage AD (User Accounts / OU / Group Policies).
• Manage PKI and Certificate renewals.
• Manage Veeam Backup Infrastructure with SOBR.
• Develop and maintain Azure Tenant (DNS, Certificates, Subscriptions).
• Manage on-prem SCCM Infrastructure (Patch & Software Deployment, Inventory Remote Control, Monitoring).
• Manage SQL Administration Tasks (DB maintenance, Performance Tuning, Backup and DR Recovery).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation.
• Write and update Documentation / SOPs.

Job Summary

The System Administrator is a hands-on technical role responsible for maintaining and modernizing technologies within the our client's global organization. This position requires advanced Windows and VM Administration skills, with current hands-on experience in Microsoft Server and VMWare technologies. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English (speaking and writing) and will work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Location: Lisle, Illinois

Job type: Permanent

Salary: $115,000 - 130,000 per year

Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer of Windows servers (2003 and latest) and Linux systems.
• Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and security.
• Manage Active Directory (User Accounts / OU / Group Policies and other features of AD).
• Manage PKI and Certificate renewals.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Be a Team Player and have can-do attitude.
• Well-versed understanding of Virtualization technologies like VMWARE and Hyper-V.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly. (Agile "out-side of the box")
• Strong oral and written presentation skills.
• Strong business analysis and project management skills.
• Ability to understand a problem and provide solutions.
• Ability to update and create new documentation.
• Good understanding of change management processes.
• Good understanding of ITIL.
• Good Understanding of Network topologies.
• Microsoft Certifications would be nice to have.

• Hands-on Troubleshooting in the technologies listed above.
