As a system administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available and implement the best strategies for updating and patching critical systems. You'll be responsible for managing the infrastructure, architecture, security, and performance of our customer's systems and environments. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.

Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission‑critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

You Have:

3+ years of experience in a system administration or network administration role in an Army, Service Component Command, Combatant Command, or Joint intelligence environment

Experience providing Tiers I and II support for Windows‑based systems such as user account and permissions or access control management, printer and device connectivity, basic workstation and network troubleshooting, system log analysis and error resolution, performance remediation, imaging and re‑imaging, system and endpoint updates, and configuration changes

Experience with basic administration of Cisco VTC or VoIP systems

Experience in using problem‑solving and communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non‑technical users and collaborate across multiple teams and external entities

Knowledge of workflows required to install, configure, administer, manage, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls and Windows physical and virtual server environments and operating systems

Ability to maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures, and provide reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities

Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment

DoD 8570 or 8140 compliant IAT Level II Certification or CompTIA Security+ Certification

Experience as an ISSO, ISSM, or ISSE in an Army, Service Component Command, Combatant Command, or Joint intelligence environment

Experience coordinating across multiple IT‑related organizations across echelons, both internal and external, to complete complex coordination or troubleshooting tasks

Experience with using structured troubleshooting frameworks or ticketing systems, such as Jira, Kanban, or Microsoft Office365, to document issues, complete root case analysis, and build a local knowledge base for the team

Knowledge of systems security procedures and compliance measures, including maintaining and reviewing audit files, and adhering to government policies and industry standards

Ability to assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new technology deployments

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification
