Job summary

Eclipse Aerospace in Albuquerque is looking for a Systems Administrator to manage server, network, and application infrastructure. This role includes responsibilities for maintaining VMware systems and providing helpdesk support.

Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in system administration, particularly in environments with over 200 users. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, and the salary ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually based on experience.

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000/year based on education and experience/expertise

General Summary

Systems Administrators at Eclipse Aerospace have the primary responsibility for server, network and application management, deployment, maintenance and accessibility. Secondary responsibilities include helpdesk support, case management, resolution and tracking. Additional responsibilities include user, hardware and software provisioning, refresh and management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Maintaining and creating systems within a VMware vSphere virtual infrastructure.
• Monitoring and supporting critical network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP and Email)
• Maintaining and monitoring the connectivity to MPLS sites & off-site networks, including the Internet
• Maintaining and coordinating the security of the company computer network
• Automating system administration tasks using various scripts, macros, and programming languages
• Researching, recommending and provisioning equipment and software solutions for business needs
• User Account Management, role based authentication for systems
• Auditing/analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
• Performing backups and restores
• Installing and configuring new hardware and software
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of systems
• Troubleshooting any reported problems & system performance tuning
• Responsible for basic administration of various SaaS cloud-based solutions; (GoogleApps/ZenDesk)
• Answering technical queries and end user helpdesk support

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

• VMWare vSphere Experience
• 5-8 years System Administration experience in a 200+ user environment
• Cisco TCP/IP Networking experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Degree in IT, IT Systems, Computer Science, Systems or related field
• Experience with Veeam storage and backup solutions
• Windows logon/logoff automation experience
• Simple programming using Powershell/PowerCLI or equivalent scripting language
• Professional certifications (VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, EMC, CompTIA, etc.)
