Job summary

Maximus seeks a System Test Engineer to provide subject matter proficiency for USAF mission requirements. The role analyzes and supports process improvement, develops test documents and procedures, and conducts manual and automated software testing across unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end levels.

Remote work with TS/SCI clearance is required. The position is contingent upon award, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
• 5 years of recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests to verify system operability and compliance.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
• Practical experience testing and analyzing RESTful interfaces and sending/receiving RESTful information.
• Practical experience testing in a cloud environment.
• DCWF Job Code: 671 Intermediate.
• Willingness to travel 10% to 20% of the time, as needed.
• Preferred: ISTQB Advanced, CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
• Develop test documents and procedures; plan and execute various testing types (manual and automated).
• Conduct unit, integration, functional, and end‑to‑end testing; document results and defects.
• Perform other technical and test-related duties as required.

The System Test Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing test documents, developing procedures, performing various types of manual and automated software testing including, but not limited to, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. Shall perform other technical and/or test-related duties as required.

This role is contingent upon award.

This role is remote and requires a TS/SCI clearance.
