Qualified candidates will hold a BS/MS in engineering or CS with hands-on AV/ADAS testing, Linux/QNX experience, and strong root-cause analysis skills. Travel to testing locations is required as per plan.

About the Role: NVIDIA | Triage Test Engineer | Autonomous Vehicles | Santa Clara CA

Nvidia is hiring a Triage Test Engineer to support autonomous vehicle and ADAS software testing.

This is a hands-on, vehicle-level role focused on testing, triaging, debugging, and validating autonomous driving features. You’ll work directly with engineering teams to identify software issues, determine root causes, and improve AV/ADAS performance across real-world driving scenarios.

What You’ll Do

• Perform end-to-end vehicle testing of autonomous and ADAS features including ACC, Lane Keeping, Lane Change, Safety, and Parking
• Triage and debug software issues identified during vehicle testing
• Reproduce failures, analyze results, and collaborate with engineering teams on root-cause analysis
• Conduct in-car testing across proving grounds and public-road environments
• Design test routes and scenarios to validate AV/ADAS software performance
• Develop test metrics and KPIs to evaluate software quality
• Document and report test events following defined safety and engineering protocols
• Provide detailed technical feedback to feature owners and engineering leads
• Travel to testing locations as required by test plans

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on AV, autonomous driving, robotics, or ADAS triage experience
• Experience with AV/ADAS testing and triage workflows
• Experience working with Linux and/or QNX
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Large-scale in-vehicle testing of L2/L3/L4 autonomous driving systems
• Experience with automotive software validation or vehicle-level testing
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and/or ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
• Experience working cross-functionally with autonomous-driving software and feature teams

• Pay: $65-$95/hour | Depending on experience
