Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join a team building ultra low latency streaming technology for GeForce Now. We optimize for latency, QoS and cross‑device performance to deliver smooth streaming across platforms.

You will own the end‑to‑end software development cycle, develop tools for video performance analysis, build metrics, and participate in design reviews to push the state of the art.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in C, C++, multi‑threaded programming, system software design and debugging.
  • Experience implementing and improving performance and video quality through different stages of the video processing pipeline.
  • Experience analyzing performance and CPU/GPU resource utilization for video/graphics applications.
  • Background with usage of different video capture, codec and render pipelines and API.
  • Experience with networking, WebRTC and other audio and video transport and handshake protocols.
  • Experience with development and debugging on Linux and Windows platforms.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related subjects (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of experience in above areas.

Job description

We are looking for a Systems Software engineer to join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers who build the ultra low latency streaming technology for GeForce Now. We optimize for ultra low latencies and smoothest streaming for every device type, making the right trade‑offs across portability, performance, QoS and latency in our designs. What you will be doing:

  • Knowledgeable in the Android graphics framework and low‑latency video streaming solutions, including NVIDIA video encoder.
  • Proficient in audio/video driver interfaces across platforms and familiar with telemetry, visualization tools, and data analysis.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 124,000 USD – 195,500 USD for Level 2, and 152,000 USD – 241,500 USD for Level 3.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
