NVIDIA Corporation in Durham, NC seeks a System Software Engineer to develop low-level diagnostic software for next-generation data center GPUs and rack-scale AI systems. You’ll own components from design through implementation, collaborating with hardware architects, driver developers, silicon-validation engineers, manufacturing, and field teams.

Qualificações

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of embedded software, firmware, Linux drivers, or hardware validation experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills and Python proficiency.
• Experience with hardware interfaces, registers, and low-level debugging.
• Experience creating diagnostics, validation, or stress tests to isolate issues.
• Solid understanding of memory, caches, interrupts, DMA, buses and I/O.

Responsabilidades

• Develop diagnostic and stress software for complex hardware systems in C/C++ and Python.
• Interface with hardware blocks, firmware, device drivers, registers and telemetry.
• Bring up and validate new silicon and system features on pre-production hardware.
• Create targeted tests for compute engines, memory, DMA, PCIe/NVLink, power and thermal behavior.
• Investigate failures across hardware and software boundaries with strong debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up hardware and diagnose issues.
