System Security Engineer (Anti‑Tamper)
Sabre is seeking an System Security Engineer (Anti‑Tamper) to support our Cyber Warfare Department at Patuxent River Naval Air Station located in Lexington Park, MD. This position is required to be onsite and will support the Anti‑Tamper Program Lead, Program Managers, IPTs, and Systems Engineers in identifying CPI, developing and implementing AT Plans, validating and sustaining CPI protection, implementing and managing AT solutions for supported programs, and assessing performance to plan technical risk.
Responsibilities
- Perform security analyses, program reviews, and verification and validation (V&V) test planning and event coordination.
- Identify program CPI and provide support for developing, implementing, verifying, and validating AT requirements for supported programs.
- Assist the U.S. Navy in working with industry on deployment of special technologies to protect critical technology in systems deployed worldwide.
- Provide analysis and document preparation to support government statutes and export restriction regulations governing domestic and foreign military sales.
- Collect, organize, interpret, and analyze technical data related to AT solutions for weapons system acquisition projects.
- Conduct AT studies, including trade studies, research areas, and detailed analysis of system design (microelectronic implementation, software implementation, system integration, V&V, cost, and risk).
- Prepare and present briefings to internal and external programs and customers such as the Tri‑Service Committee, Red Team, ATEA, and V&V team to obtain AT approvals for U.S.‑deployed and exported military systems.
Qualifications
- BS in a relevant Engineering/Science field.
- Three (3) years or more of experience in a relevant Engineering/Science field.
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
- Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and capability in detailed development of anti‑tamper capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts associated with all program phases of product development.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic, multiple‑security environment.
- Experience with NAVAIR acquisition programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience with DoD Risk and Opportunity Management process.
Compensation
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract‑specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is $90,000.00 – $180,000.00.
