Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a D5LE2 System Safety Engineering Lead for the Fleet Ballistic Missile program. You will serve as the primary point of contact for system safety and lead safety analysis across the program, coordinating with IPTs and customers to ensure compliance and timely milestones.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, strong communication skills, and experience in system safety disciplines, with potential Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Must have experience in requirements derivation, decomposition, and verification.
  • Experience with contractual requirements and their execution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Subject matter expert in the System Safety discipline.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience interfacing with Customer and Program Management.
  • Software Safety experience.
  • Experience working in System Safety Working Groups - SSWG, WSESRB, SSSTRP, etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience identifying critical hardware & software.

The information below includes the standard job description for this position

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
