Job summary

ANZEN Engineering is seeking experienced System Safety Engineers to join our international aerospace team across the United States. You will perform safety analyses and support certification activities for safety-critical systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design teams, knowledge of ARP4761 and DO-178C, and a strong command of English; proficiency in German or Spanish is a plus. This is a permanent contract with growth opportunities within our expanding programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in System Safety Engineering or a similar engineering role.
• Strong understanding of aeronautical system operations and safety considerations.
• Experience with international environments and project-specific tools and methods.
• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish and/or German are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and update system safety analyses for aircraft, systems, subsystems, and ground segments.
• Conduct safety assessments such as FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMEA, and PRA following ARP4761.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and support definition of risk mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with design teams and system suppliers to ensure safety is integrated into architectures.
• Contribute to safety documentation, reports, and certification activities per ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and MIL-STD-882E.
• Experience with autonomous systems or systems of systems is a strong advantage.
