Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a System Repair and Test Technician in San Jose, CA. You will perform final testing of Supermicro and OEM RMA products, carry out ECO and BIOS upgrades, and support on-site customers as required.

The role emphasizes strong PC/system knowledge, testing precision, and team collaboration in an in-office environment. The position requires a technical background with hardware troubleshooting, soldering/desoldering skills, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Technical school certificate or college degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a test technician preferred.
• Good operation software skills in Windows or Linux.
• Capable of self-motivated hard work with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Test and calibration of Supermicro/OEM RMA products and final assemblies.
• Follow drawings, written and verbal instructions to complete work assignments.
• Determine job status and material status of jobs.
• Reference procedures, drawings, and specifications for purposed changes.
• Physically locate job materials within the area.
• Report defective parts to RMA Repair Database.
• Onsite customer support service as needed.
• GPU skills and knowledge are a plus.
