Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Electrical Technician to support hydroelectric facilities and transmission protection systems. The role involves installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of relays, SCADA, and protection equipment in outdoor hydro environments and substations.

You will read schematics, work around energized equipment, and comply with strict safety and NERC standards. California driver’s license required; hydro/utility experience is a plus.

Competenze

• Experience testing protective relays in power facilities or substations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, elementary drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Comfortable working outdoors, in remote locations, and around energized equipment.
• Familiarity with NERC standards is a plus.

Mansioni

Overview:

Seeking an Electrical Technician to support hydroelectric facilities and transmission protection systems. This individual will perform installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical and microprocessor-based relays, SCADA systems, station automation equipment, transformers, and associated protection and control infrastructure. Candidates must be comfortable working in outdoor environments, hydro facilities, substations, remote locations, and around energized equipment while maintaining strict safety and NERC compliance standards.

Required Skills:

• Relay and control experience
• Testing protective relays in power facilities or high-voltage substations
• Experience with electromechanical and microprocessor protective relays
• Strong relay protection and control knowledge
• Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain protective relay systems
• Experience testing CTs, PTs, power transformers, and associated protection equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, elementary drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Valid California Driver's License
• Comfortable working outdoors, in remote locations, and around energized equipment
