Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Systems and Network Administrator to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems. The role oversees client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices, supporting day-to-day operations and problem resolution.

Responsibilities include Tier 1/2 support, system configurations, virtualization, OS management (Linux/Windows), and continuous improvement of reliability and performance. Requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and on-site work in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years experience as a system/network administrator is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional system/network administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution processes.
• Configure and manage virtual and storage environments; Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
• Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure virtual, storage, and network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Configure and manage Linux/CentOS operating systems and install/load operating system software with enhancements.
