Job summary

Ribbon Communications Inc. in Plano, TX seeks a qualified engineer to understand customer requirements and produce an Order Capture Worksheet with detailed provisioning information.

You will develop detailed specs and drawings using Ribbon tools and assess impacts to the current configuration. Responsibilities include validating solution configuration against customer needs, reviewing documentation, and supporting the project through service completion within the engineering solution and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in a relevant field.
• Experience with database tools to engineer, order, and document customer projects.
• Experience configuring telecom and data equipment in complex networks and providing end-to-end solutions.
• Knowledge of central office and outside plant telecom infrastructure.
• Experience testing and deploying services and features; software tool log captures & analysis.
• Root Cause Analysis for engineering processes; ability to evaluate DC power requirements, cabling, and terminations in a telco environment.
• Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge processes and preventive techniques; familiarity with TL9000 and ISO quality practices.
• Able to utilize and develop quality processes.

Review and follow existing documentation as applicable. Provide project support through services completion related to the engineering solution and budget.

• Hardware & Cabling Specs – Specs and drawings for downstream processes including supply chain and deployment teams.
• Software ordering through Ribbon tools and processes.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in all geographic locations is $117,000.00 - $139,200.00 annually. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, and education. The compensation package includes eligibility for an incentive plan and comprehensive benefits, subject to applicable requirements.
