Job summary

Parallel Wireless is seeking a System Integration Engineer to deliver innovative functionalities for our Open RAN 5G NR base-station products. Based at our Nashua, NH HQ (near Boston), you will engage in testing, integration, and development activities for 5G L1/L2 features, and help automate testing and analysis with a hands-on, collaborative team.

You will review radio feature designs, define test strategies, and contribute to performance reports.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years in system integration of LTE or 5G radio access solutions.
  • Experience in development of real-time software.
  • Experience in programming with Python.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB.
  • Hands-on experience with radio test equipment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to understand how things work and apply practically.
  • Hands-on, quick adaptation in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform system integration and testing of RAN algorithms and radio equipment.
  • Analyze product requirements and translate to task specifications.
  • Understand customer use cases and design workflows for system performance.

Job Overview

Parallel Wireless is reimagining mobile networks with innovative, energy‑efficient Open RAN solutions. We are looking for a System Integration Engineer to deliver innovative functionalities to our customers and optimize our next‑generation Open‑RAN 5G NR base‑station products. This position will be actively involved with product development activities including testing and integration of 5G L1 and L2 features and development of new testing and analysis. The role is based out of our Headquarters office in Nashua, NH, 45 miles north of Boston.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to review the design of new radio cellular features (e.g. rate adaptation, power control, scheduler, interference mitigation), challenge the implemented solutions, and suggest improvements.
  • Define a test strategy to evaluate end‑to‑end performances and ensure conformance to design and technology specifications (Open RAN, 3GPP).
  • Deliver technical reports and performance figures based on lab experiments to product and customer teams and provide instructions to automation teams.
  • Handle and debug cellular system issues reported from internal labs or observed in the field by customers.
  • Design and develop system test methods to verify system performance.
  • Lead and perform system integration and testing of RAN algorithms and radio equipment.
  • Analyze product requirement specifications and translate requirements to task specifications.
  • Understand customer use cases and design proper workflows for overall system performance.
Qualifications
