Job description

Introduction to the job

We are seeking Test Engineers to join our EUV System Test and Integration group. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that tests and integrates our EUV systems for Development and Engineering. Our EUV light source consists of an intricate network of process gases, high power lasers, optics, electronics, mechatronics, and control systems. In this hands-on position you will have the opportunity to work with all of these components and become a system expert. You will be the key to building a better product through testing, issue identification and resolution, and finding potential improvements.

Role and responsibilities
  1. Performs tests, integration, R&D, upgrades, and qualification of EUV systems and their components.
  2. Aligns and maintains sensitive optics and high power lasers.
  3. Uses advanced HW and SW to operate, diagnose, and characterize functionality and performance.
  4. Gathers, correlates, interprets, and presents data.
  5. Solves problems through troubleshooting and leveraging available resources.
  6. Captures and drives the resolution of issues to ensure a quality product.
  7. Drives the improvement of procedures and processes.
  8. Works with stakeholders from different departments and builds a strong communication network.
  9. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
  10. Travel to customer sites as required to support product introduction or support local sites.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Working hours:
  1. 1st shift 0800-1700, (can alternately be compressed work week including weekend, 0700-1900).
  2. 2nd shift 1600-0100
  3. 3rd shift 0000-0900
  4. Shift assignment may change based on business need.
Education and experience
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics.
  2. 0-2 years of relevant experience. Exceptional recent college graduates considered.
  3. Strong engineering, technical, and physics fundamentals.

  1. Must be capable of working in the lab at floor level to 8 feet high with appropriate ladder.
  2. May require use of respirator apparatus.
  3. Work is performed in a cleanroom with full gown, hood, gloves, boots, and eye protection.
  4. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  5. The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.
  6. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  7. May require travel dependent on business needs.
  8. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  9. Can work under deadlines.
  10. The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.
  11. Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
  12. Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.
  13. Can learn and apply new information or skills.
  14. Requires working with a firing laser (which is noisy) on a frequent basis.
  15. Requires working in a manufacturing clean room environment occasionally.
