Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a System Engineer Level 5 for an on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD. The position emphasizes customer and partner engagement, data flow understanding, and complex problem solving in SIGINT contexts.

Responsibilities include working with data formats (CSV, JSON, PCAP, XML), system-to-system connections, and learning NiFi flow file attributes to support DoD and intelligence community data flows.

Qualifications

• Ability to form good relationships with customers and mission partners.
• Reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users.
• Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements.
• Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira.
• Good understanding of data processing capabilities.
• Understands system-to-system connections for data flow processes.
• Basic understanding of NiFi, should understand flow file attributes or be able to learn it quickly.
• Understanding of SIGINT collection and analysis.
• Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, Tactical Collection Capabilities, Military SIGINT architectures and related data flows.
