Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support a major program with a focus on full lifecycle systems engineering, from concept development through deployment and sustainment. You will be responsible for executing a wide range of technical planning, integration, and analysis tasks to ensure successful system development and implementation. You will work on a multidisciplinary team supporting large-scale programs, helping to translate complex customer requirements into actionable hardware and software solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Lead or contribute to the development, flow-down, and tracking of system-level requirements.
Perform systems architecture development and interface definition.
Develop and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models using SysML.
Conduct functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation.
Plan and support verification and validation (V&V) activities.
Evaluate technical solutions based on cost, risk, and supportability.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the system lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of hardware and software subsystems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or PhD may substitute for experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering for airborne or space systems.
Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and experience using SysML tools.
Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and manage complex systems integration.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical documentation.
Demonstrated leadership experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience with MagicDraw or similar MBSE tools is a plus.
Familiarity with hardware/software integration processes is preferred.
Experience supporting aerospace or defense-related programs is highly preferred.
Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however the candidate will need to obtain a Secret clearance (active Secret clearance is a plus).
