Job summary

JBL Resources is seeking a systems engineer to lead multi-disciplinary product teams from concept through market release and sustaining phases. You will translate stakeholder needs into actionable concepts and ensure designs meet user requirements with rigorous traceability and architecture practices.

The role calls for strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership across the product lifecycle in a medical device context, with the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in system architecture development and requirements management.
• Experience with modeling, simulation and trade studies.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership of product lifecycle phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for products and projects that involve multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Participate in all aspects of a product lifecycle from Concept through Market Release and Sustaining.
• Understand stakeholder needs and clinical use during the Concept Phase.
• Translate stakeholder needs into concepts and new inventions.
• Ensure the design meets user needs through requirements identification and decomposition during Development.
• Utilize system engineering techniques such as traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting.
• Lead system integration efforts and possibly oversee the Verification process.
• Demonstrate driven leadership, excellent communication, and creative problem-solving while balancing priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven expertise in system architecture development, requirements management, system integration, modeling, simulation, trade studies, traceability, and architecture frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead product lifecycle phases from concept to market release.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with clinical stakeholder needs in medical device development.
