Job summary

SAIC invites application for a Senior Systems Engineer, Directory Services, tasked with expert-level support and strategic oversight per the SIE OPORD. Shifts may be 6AM-2PM or 2PM-11PM, with responsibilities spanning AD integration, Windows infrastructure, and RBAC governance.

The role requires DoD TS/SCI clearance, top-tier certifications, and extensive experience in large-scale Active Directory deployments. A proven track record in enterprise IT and mission-critical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoW 8570 IAT II certification.
• Must be DoW 8140 compliant under Work Role Code 451 by 1 Oct 26.
• Mastery of system engineering processes and techniques.
• Experience with Active Directory delegation and security models.
• Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and related client products.
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying Active Directory, Domain Controller Management, DFS, and RBAC in large-scale environments (>80K users).

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Active Directory infrastructure with network, security, messaging, remote access, and virtual environments to ensure seamless functionality.
• Develop and enforce best practices for Windows infrastructure support.
• Oversee the entire life-cycle of critical IT services, including planning, deployment, and maintenance.
• Architect and administer RBAC permissions within a multi-tenant enterprise environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Directory Service administrators, imparting essential knowledge to bolster the SIE.
• Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to augment the SIE's mission readiness.
• Manage a geographically dispersed array of sites with multiple domain controllers across various networks, ensuring high availability and resilience.

• Lead the integration of Active Directory infrastructure with network, security, messaging, remote access, and virtual environments to ensure seamless functionality.
• Develop and enforce best practices for Windows infrastructure support.

Required Qualifications:

• DoW 8570 IAT II Certification.
• Must be with DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - Systems Administrator Intermediate - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
• Mastery of system engineering processes and techniques.
• Experience with Active Directory delegation and security models,
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and related client products.
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying Active Directory, Domain Controller Management, DFS, and RBAC in large-scale environments (exceeding 80K users).

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) OR.
• Microsoft Certified Expert related to candidate's work area OR.
• Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional OR.
• Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administration Expert OR.
• Azure Solutions Architect OR.
• Experience in an Enterprise Environment is crucial.
• Expertise in designing, maintaining, and managing Domain/Forest trusts and Directory/Forest/Domain replication.
• Experience in constructing, promoting, and managing multiple Domain controllers.
• Experience in Linux Redhat.

Years of Experience (YOE):

• Minimum 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PhD.
