Job summary

Pinnacle Specialty Group, Inc. seeks a Cognizant System Engineer/Technical Authority to lead configuration management for assigned plant systems and oversee operability and maintenance activities.

You will coordinate change packages, evaluate impacts on safety bases, troubleshoot issues, and apply engineering expertise with related disciplines to sustain reliable operations.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering with strong technical foundation.
• Minimum of 10 years direct experience in relevant engineering roles.
• Level 3/4/5 qualifications indicate progressive responsibility and seniority.

Duties

As a Cognizant System Engineer/Technical Authority for assigned systems, the subcontractor will do the following: coordinate configuration management activities, assess system health and performance, and provide overall technical responsibility for plant system operability and maintenance activities. Works in conjunction with the Configuration Management program for the assigned system(s). Prepares configuration control/design change packages for tasks; evaluates the impact of proposed changes and/or modifications to approved safety authorization bases for facilities; and performs troubleshooting and improvement activities. Applies the systems and equipment expertise needed to resolve technical system and equipment issues in cooperation with other related disciplines.

Electrical positions require knowledge of electrical systems with preferred knowledge in one of the following: manufacturing process equipment, industrial electrical equipment, facility related electrical systems, electromagnetics, electrostatic discharge, and/or lightning protection.

Mechanical positions require knowledge of electro-mechanical systems with a preferred knowledge in one of the following: manufacturing process equipment, industrial mechanical equipment or facility related mechanical systems.

Education

ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years direct experience.

Level 3-BA/BS Degree plus 10-14 years of direct experience required, or and MA or MS with 10-13 years of experience

Level 4-BA/BS Degree plus 15-20 years of experience required, or an MA or MS with 14-18 years of experience

Level 5-BA/BS Degree plus 20 years of experience required, or an MA or MS with 19 years of experience

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
