Texas Instruments (TI) is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer in Dallas, Texas. At TI Systems Engineers work to define and develop embedded platform software, business plans, marketing and software requirements documentation.
Responsibilities
- Leverage TI sales and industry relationships to collect, analyze, document, and communicate customer and industry requirements, conduct technical research, and consider the business development implications of platform decisions.
- Gather and analyze customer requirements through direct engagement, including on-site visits and technical workshops. Conduct research on emerging technologies, industry standards, and competitor solutions relevant to embedded platform software.
- Decompose high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications for platform software components, interfaces, and integration points.
- Define and document the architecture and core components of embedded platform software, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Leverage existing customer and TI sales relationships to initiate customer meetings, and collect industry insights for product development.
- Drive TI internal and industry external advocacy for technical program proposal.
- Leverage knowledge of TI sales processes, and systems to align program objectives to TI sales programs. Evaluate the technical and business impact of proposed solutions, identifying
- opportunities for platform differentiation and business Growth and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with business development and product management teams to align technical solutions with market objectives. Leverage established technical channels with partner ecosystem and relationships to foster collaboration.
- Manage technical relationships with key partners, including joint development planning, interface definition, and issue resolution.
- Ensure platform software meets relevant industry standards and security requirements, particularly in automotive domains.

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 4 years of experience as a Field Applications Engineer, Product Marketing Engineer, and/or Sales Engineering in semiconductor industry.
- Experience to include 4 years in each of the following: Application support for automotive embedded systems; Automotive embedded systems; Customer facing in automotive embedded systems; and working with OEM or TIER 1 automotive customers.
